- Perform detailed electrical engineering in support of construction, facility modification, and infrastructure upgrade projects at NRF.
- Prepare and revise work procedures, calculations, electrical drawings, and related technical documentation.
- Provide engineering support for electrical power distribution systems, equipment modifications, and facility improvements.
- Ensure assigned engineering work complies with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and site requirements.
- Support multidisciplined project teams and coordinate with operations, project management, safety, radiological controls, environmental, procurement, quality, and other disciplines.
- Conduct field walkdowns, technical reviews, troubleshooting, and engineering evaluations in support of project execution.
- Review drawings, specifications, vendor submittals, and other technical documents for adequacy and compliance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and engineers from other disciplines, as needed.
- Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program and a minimum of four years of engineering experience is required.
- Power systems engineering experience is required.
- Experience preparing electrical drawings, engineering packages, work procedures, calculations, and technical documentation is required.
- Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards, including NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 70E, IEEE, and other applicable industry standards, is required.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen; dual citizenship is not permitted.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “L” security clearance; current clearance is a plus.
- Must obtain and maintain Radiological Controls and other qualifications as directed by Naval Reactors.
- Professional Engineer license from Idaho or any other state is highly desired.
- Master’s degree is desirable.
- Previous experience in DOE, naval nuclear, or other highly regulated environment is desirable.

Pay: $86,000 - $136,000 per year.
