Position Purpose
Function as environmental regulatory technical support for the Idaho Environmental Coalition Environmental Project Support Organization. The position is located at the Radioactive Waste Management Complex (RWMC) supporting the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project (AMWTP). Duties include providing general environmental compliance support for state of Idaho and federal environmental regulations, including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Clean Air Act (CAA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Duties also include identification of regulatory requirements, environmental regulatory issue evaluation and resolution, review of work control documentation, and implementation of environmental requirements. The candidate will coordinate with project, facility, Environmental Services management, Legal, DOE, and regulatory agencies related to complex regulatory issues and implementation. Performance of various assessments in support of environmental compliance assurance for the Environmental Services and Strategic Initiatives Organization and other implementation activities supportive of ensuring compliance with multi-media regulatory requirements.
May perform regulatory inspections and compliance field activities. In addition, support other areas of Idaho Environmental Coalition in technical review and implementation of other environmental regulatory requirements as needed.
This is a multi‑level posting and the successful candidate will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills. At the Idaho Environmental Coalition, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
Bachelor's degree in science or engineering required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the degree.

- DOE Radiological Worker
- Provide Environmental point of contact for Project in areas of RCRA, CAA, CWA, TSCA, NEPA, CERCLA compliance. Provide daily support for Project compliance needs and identify and implement environmental requirements.
- Develop and compile data for compliance reports and support other areas of the company in technical review of all environmental regulations such as RCRA, CAA, CWA, TSCA, NEPA, etc.
- Prepare and review environmental checklists, implementation plans, work planning documentation, and other ad‑hoc tasks by Environmental Services Management.
- Participate in compliance field activities, such as assisting in collection of compliance samples for various media (waste, wastewater, groundwater, air, etc.).
