Job Description Overview
We are seeking a Waste Management Specialist Energy to join our team in Idaho Falls, role interfaces with waste generators to ensure program requirements are met and activities are completed in accordance with applicable procedures and requirements.
Responsibilities- Interface with waste generators to ensure that program requirements are met and activities are completed in accordance with applicable procedures and requirements.
- Ensure that waste is packaged, accepted, labeled, stored, characterized, shipped and dispositioned in an efficient, timely, and compliant manner.
- Interpret waste management and transportation rules, regulations and policies to assist generators in the proper and compliant management of facility and project waste, including low‑level, hazardous, recyclable and non‑regulated waste.
- Waste characterization, packaging and labeling.
- Regulatory inspections.
- Database entry and management of waste containers.
- Maintain strong communication skills and interact with customers effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent; college or technical education desired.
- Technical work experience or education in the field.
- Strong math and science background preferred.
- DOT qualified shipper preferred.
- Packaging & transportation experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA, DOT).
- Organized and disciplined approach to documentation, development, maintenance and tracking of waste activities.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.

CompensationExpected compensation range is between $72,000 and $120,000 annually, depending on skills, experience and geographical location.
