Job Overview
Supervisor, Design Engineering (also known as Supervisor, Drafting) will lead and guide a team of drafting professionals in the Engineering Group, providing drafting support for advanced power plant designs including Small Modular Reactors and existing nuclear power plants. This role includes preparing working plans, detailed drawings, and complete mechanical or electrical drawings of complex components and assemblies from notes, verbal instructions and sketches using CAD/CAM.
Some time will be spent actively working on drawings.

$89,100.00 – $ per year plus bonus (salary range is a general guideline; additional considerations will be evaluated).
Responsibilities- Contribute to development of a Curtiss‑Wright drafting standard.
- Create and modify detailed drawings using CAD/CAM hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering.
- Work with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation.
- Perform drafting checks for other drafters to ensure drawings meet Curtiss‑Wright drafting standards.
- Support system management tasks such as file maintenance, backup and storage.
- Provide work guidance to lower-level positions or engineers who may assist with drafting and design on occasions.
- Required travel time is less than 5%.
- 6+ years design experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience leading or managing a team of individual contributors.
- Engineering technology diploma, AA degree, certificates and/or equivalent education in engineering design and technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency utilizing 2D and 3D CAD tools to create engineering deliverables.
- Knowledge of engineering materials, fabrication processes, design for manufacturing and assembly principles.
- Experience developing drafting standards.
- Equipment layout or panel design experience for end‑user facilities.
- Electronics and panel layout experience.
