- Assist with design portions of discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards.
- Research commercially available equipment for project use.
- Support client relations, maintain the project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files.
- Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical and equipment suppliers.
- Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions promptly while monitoring project design progress.
- Assist with review of all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check.
- Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information.
- Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement.
- Work within the project’s monetary budget and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.
- Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required.
- Strong interest in design consulting.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
- Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.
- Preferred prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry.
Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology design for complex buildings. Deep portfolios in education, healthcare, mission-critical, and industrial markets. National technical resources paired with local project relationships. Strong support for MEP
2050 and AIA 2030 sustainability commitments. Recent work includes U.S. Environmental Protection Agency / Ann Arbor, MI / National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory / Energy Savings Performance Contract Design Oversight and Construction Follow-on Services, Government (Federal); FSU / Social Justice Museum / New Building, Education; and Faust Farms WTP and WWTP, Housing.
