The largest medical facility in the region, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a full‑service hospital with 318 patient beds. We serve as the region’s healthcare hub, serving southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park and parts of Montana.

EIRMC is home to a Level II Trauma Center, a Level I ICU (one of only two in Idaho), and the only emergency room in Idaho Falls. Additionally, we have the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children. We also offer inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults at its 74‑bed Behavioral Health Center.

The majority of the patients for this area are being treated for cardiac problems. The patients are undergoing testing using ultrasound. The patients can be of a high acuity. The patients can range from neonatal to geriatric. The exposure to body fluids and blood is always present. Due to the stat nature of the procedures the area can be very stressful to work in.

• An Associate’s Degree
• A recent 2 years of Echo Tech experience in an acute inpatient hospital setting
• Maintain a current registration in Adult Echo
• Maintain a current registration in Vascular Ultrasound
• RDMS or ARDMS License and
• State License
• BLS Certification
