Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Histologist at our facility you will be an integral part of our Laboratory team. We are a highly functioning team that supports many different departments and has a passion for providing the best patient care through compassionate, professional interactions and reliable testing. In this role:
- You will file, locate, log, retrieve, and deliver pathology specimens/reports.
- You will perform standard histology procedures for embedding, cutting, mounting, and staining tissue for analysis.
- You will provide the pathologist with well stained microscopic slides of surgical sections and perform any necessary procedures for microscopic diagnosis.
- You will perform specialized testing as assigned.
- You will assist in instructing other personnel as assigned.
- You will assure that the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all times.
Qualifications:
- Certified as a Histotechnician from an accredited school.
- Histologist Certification from ASCP.
- 2 years of Histology experience preferred.
- Must have good verbal and written skills and good computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds. Our hospital is the largest medical facility in the region.
