Job Description

Location: Remote, US
Overview: Responsible for analyzing user requirements and then designing, building, and testing software applications that will satisfy those requirements.
Support a team of mainframe software engineers in the development of software products and solutions, providing guidance, code reviews, and technical support.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project requirements, ensuring the successful delivery of software projects.Assist in the professional growth and mentorship of team members through regular feedback, coaching, and career development planning.
Contribute to the execution of the software engineering strategy, participating in strategic discussions and technology assessments.
Manage project tasks and assignments, helping to prioritize and plan work to meet project goals.
Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets to ensure efficient project execution.
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, working to resolve issues as they arise.
Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability (uptime, monitoring, incident/problem management).
Manage system security, access controls, and compliance (SOX, GxP, GDPR).
Oversee integrations with other applications and platforms.
Lead ERP customer requests (new implementations, upgrades, enhancements) from planning to go‑live.
Manage scope, budget, timelines, resources, and risks.
Coordinate with vendors, internal teams (IT, Finance, HR), and stakeholders.
Analyze business needs and align ERP functionality with organizational goals.
Identify inefficiencies and champion automation, standardization, and continuous improvement.
Develop and enforce policies for system use and data management.
Lead, mentor, and develop internal ERP teams and partner resources.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders across departments (Finance, IT, Operations).
Provide technical and functional support, resolving issues and analyzing root causes.
Create and maintain system documentation.
Deep understanding of ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and business processes.
Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role with experience in software engineering.
Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies.
Strong programming and debugging skills.
Some prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity.
Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Must be ITAR‑compliant and able to provide proof of citizenship.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job‑related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $84,400 – $156,800.
Full‑time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
