Position
Purpose:
Support, administer, and integrate enterprise COTS applications with strong emphasis on Maximo/MAS while also maintaining Cognos, Costpoint, Power BI, Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft Windows, Oracle, and SQL based systems. Provide reliable production support, ensure configuration management, uphold cybersecurity requirements, collaborate with vendors and internal teams, and learn new technologies as needed. Work independently with limited supervision and participate in off-hours support for critical applications.
Key Duties:- Lead Maximo/MAS administration, including environments, cron tasks, escalations, security groups/roles, conditional expressions, Start Centers, and integration frameworks (MIF, REST, SOAP).
- Configure, implement, and support COTS applications across Windows and Oracle ecosystems.
- Perform vendor maintenance cycles: patches, fix packs, builds, upgrades, and environment lifecycle planning.
- Maintain application security, CVE remediation, RBAC role management, SSL configuration, and secure baselines.
- Support integrations using REST APIs and automation scripting (Python, Power Shell), with particular focus on Maximo’s integration framework and related COTS components.
- Troubleshoot issues across application, database, IIS/web server, and infrastructure layers; coordinate fixes with vendors and internal teams.
- Manage change control and application lifecycle activities, including testing, documentation, and release coordination.
- Develop and optimize advanced SQL (Oracle, MSSQL), schema design, performance tuning, and data access paths.
- Support reporting frameworks including BIRT and SSRS, delivering operational and scheduled reports.
- Produce and maintain documentation, configuration records, runbooks, and user training materials; serve as a mentor for application users and support teams.
- Provide off hours response to production system incidents when required.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting and configuring enterprise COTS applications, ideally including direct Maximo/MAS experience.
- Background in COTS vendor support, configuration, implementation, application security, CVEs, and configuration management.
- Strong understanding of Windows and Oracle environments, SQL-driven applications, and enterprise reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex systems, and collaborate with cross-functional internal and vendor teams.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering or closely related Scientific Degree plus:
Salary Grade 15: 2 years relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
Salary Grade 18: 12 years relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
