Machine Operator - Day & Night Shifts

Requisition  
• Salary Range: $17.08 to $19.64 per hour

This position is responsible for operating a variety of machines and equipment in a manufacturing facility. Roles include but are not limited to Automat Operator, Bailer Operator, Labelling Operator, Knitting Operator, Lamination Operator, Applicator Operator, Slitting Operator, Wicketer Operator, Converting Operator, Ink Technicians, and Print Press Assistants.

• Operate various machines and equipment to manufacture products according to established procedures and quality standards
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure they are functioning correctly
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations
• Participate in lean initiatives and identify opportunities for efficiencies
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Basic mathematical skills including understanding measurements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately
• Good communication skills and ability to follow directions
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift that varies by location (36/48 hour bi-weekly breakdown)

• Basic math and reading skills normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment operating machinery is preferred

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Standing and walking for 90% of the shift
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs; able to lower rolls of plastic film to the floor and lift with a power lift (150–225 lbs)
• Handle, grasp, and perform repetitive motions
• Eye/hand/foot coordination
• Work in temperatures ranging from 60 to 90+ degrees depending on season and department
• Ability to see, hear, touch, and smell
• Work in a manufacturing environment
