* This role begins at a training rate of $20.75 per hour. After sucessful validation, the pay rate is increased to $21.50

The primary responsibility of the Sanitation Technician position is to clean and sanitize floors and facility equipment. Clean the facility structure from roof to floor on a scheduled basis.
Main Responsibilities

  • Maintains an acceptable level of cleanliness on all production and packaging equipment and work areas.
  • Eliminatesany garbage,debrisand waste on the floor or on the manufacturing equipment.
  • Able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy while working independently and professionally.
  • May be called upon to help with a production position underspecial circumstances.
  • Must be able toread andfollow chemical labels and review SDS’s to obtain appropriate hazardinformation and safety statements. Must be able to follow mixing instructions for chemicals used in cleaning and sanitizing of equipment.
  • Able to scrub equipment if needed to clean with scrub pads, brushesetc.

    Mustassistin disassemblyofequipment for cleaning andassistwith reassemblywhen finished.
  • Able to be trained in the Lockout and Tagout program to be an Authorized person.
  • Mustwork any shift forcleanupand startup, may include holidays, and weekends.
  • Mustbe able to use good judgment in the absence ofthe Leador Supervisor.
  • Mustbe able to learn and understand Master Sanitation Schedules.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Required Skills

Education and/or

Experience:

Previous experience working aroundmanufacturingequipment preferred. Able to read andcomprehendwork related material such as Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)

Language

Skills:

Exhibitseffective oral communication skills when communicating withsupervisorand co-workers. Works well with others and communicates in a positive manner. Reads,comprehends, and performs the cleaning instructions for each piece of equipment as required.

Work Environment: Shows an ability to perform heavy lifting up to 60 lbs.

Able to stand on concrete floors for extended periods and follows safety precautions.

Utilizescleaning chemicals and sanitizers safely. Physically able to climb stairs repetitively and carry loadsupstairswhenrequired.

Mustbeable to work different shifts.

Reasoning Ability: Possessesself-confidence and maturity to make decisions and to solve problems with minimal direction.

Interpersonal

Skills:

Team player, flexible and accepts changing assignments and accountabilities.

Safety: Follows all safety precautions while working independently and professionally. Keepsworkarea clean. Must be able to wear proper PPE while performing job duties. Couldberequiredto use any of the following PPEincludingwetsuit, rubber boots & gloves, safety goggles,anddustmask.

Position Validation

  • Our Position Validation Program focuses on three core areas:
    Onthe Job Training, Standard Operating Procedure sand Validation of Performance. Through this training, you will have the tools you need todemonstratean understanding of the key duties of the role through validation.
  • Validating inyour role simply meansdemonstratingyourproficiencyin your assigned job.
  • New team members inthe Sanitation Tech Iposition  mustvalidateon theitems listed in the validation program.

    Oncevalidated,the rateof pay changes from training rate to full pay rate (+ $.75).
  • Team members who are unable tovalidatefrom the training level to this level mustattemptagain and pass withinone week.

    Team members who are unable tovalidatewithin the first
    10 weeksof employment can move to an open position that they qualify for (at the pay rate of that position). If no position exists, the teammemberwill beexitedfrom Idahoan.
