Overview

The Program Manager of Community Integration will provide support to recently arrived refugees via long-term case management beyond the initial resettlement period to aid clients in achieving all aspects of self-sufficiency, including health and medical assistance, employment, and English language instruction. The Program Manager will also work collaboratively alongside partnering community agencies, make referrals for service and resources, and provide transportation to clients as needed.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Ensure Team staff are productive, meeting all contract requirements as well as fostering a positive team environment;
  • Understands State and Federal program contracts in detail, ensures all contract requirements are met and opportunities maximized;
  • Provide ongoing leadership, direction, development, counseling, support, and oversight to program staff;
  • Direct and coordinate implementation of programs within the position’s portfolio as well as strategically growing funding;
  • Responsible for meeting all programs reporting deadlines, ensuring reports and vouchers are complete and correct according to contract requirements and guidelines;
  • Foster strong working relationships with community-based organizations, and partner agencies; provides consistent communication with partner agencies to ensure coordination of services and development of client and funding opportunities;
  • Assure quality and consistent monitoring activities by staff , serves as primary contact person and maintains database of current and potential business partners;
  • Responsible for program budgets and client expenses; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from and accredited institution, preferable in Human Services, Social Work or related discipline;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate well, building relationships and partnerships with USCRI clients, community partners, state and federal program staff, headquarters, and field office staff;
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel and database programs, as needed;
  • Ability to get along with others and thrive in a dynamic fast- paced team environment;
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of USCRI, and interest in contributing to the long-term success of a local nonprofit organization;
  • Budget experience;
  • Must have a clean valid driver’s license and insurance, and a reliable motor vehicle; and
  • Demonstrated support of USCRI’s values by exhibiting respect for others, maintenance of confidential information and an appreciation of a multicultural workplace.
TRAINING REQUIREMENT
  • Satisfactory completion of USCRI’s Orientation and Training; and
  • Complete additional training as identified by supervisor or Human Resources.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity;
  • Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands;
  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying; and
  • Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard measurements.
