As a Pre‑Admission Testing RN, you will provide excellent patient care to individuals preparing for surgical procedures. Your responsibilities include:

• Gather patient health history via phone or in person, perform blood draws and EKGs, and document findings in Meditech to meet state and hospital guidelines and policies.
• Provide pre‑operative education in a manner that is appropriate for patient understanding and learning ability.
• Interact professionally with physicians, nursing staff, other departments, patients, and families.
• Evaluate and document histories and assess risk factors that may interfere with anesthesia administration or delay surgical procedures.
• Assist with basic nursing care, passing medications, and other tasks as needed during Day Surgery/Ambulatory Surgery Pre‑Op.

Qualifications:

• Current State of Idaho Registered Nurse License or Compact RN License.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification (provided during new employment orientation).
