As a Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) you will have the opportunity to use your nursing care experience in a uniquely impactful way. You will provide quality individualized preventive and supportive wound care to each patient. You will be joining a collaborative team that values extraordinary patient care and dedication to one another.
In this role you will:
- Serve as a clinical resource for the nursing staff and health care providers to assist with planning strategy of wound care either pre or post operatively, or ongoing.
- Ensure appropriate resource management and develop a safe and appropriate discharge plan in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Be responsible for direct nursing intervention, provided to a variety of age populations and diagnostic categories based on the physician-developed plan of care and established priorities for wound care issues.
- Coordinate activities that promote quality outcomes and patient throughput while supporting a balance of optimal care and appropriate resource utilization.
- Identify potential cause(s) of delayed wound healing.
- Review medication and provide patient education and pain medication administration per physician order. Accurately assess the pain levels and effects of administered pain medications.
What qualifications you will need:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Idaho
- Associate Degree in nursing required, BSN preferred.
- Wound care experience preferred.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification (offered during new hire orientation)
