Overview

Behavioral Health Solutions (BHS) is seeking Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) or Physician Assistants (PA-C) licensed in Idaho to provide direct care within our contracted partner Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing Facilities. Our team specializes in comprehensive behavioral health services for adults and geriatric patients across multiple settings. BHS promotes a collaborative culture with hands‑on leadership and is committed to delivering state‑of‑the‑art psychiatric care.

• Idaho Falls and Rexburg,

• Provide face‑to‑face psychiatric services to patients directly in Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM‑V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision‑making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non‑pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

• Full‑time or part‑time available W2 billable model.
• As a provider with BHS, you have the freedom to create your own schedule and days of the week preferred.

• Licensed in Idaho by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Idaho Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possess a DEA number).
• One year of geriatric psychiatric experience.
• One year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems (Athenahealth, a plus).
• Excellent written communication.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility, organization, and ability to function under stressful situations.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

• Billable rate compensation model (no waiting on reimbursements).

• $52 – $69.00 per billable unit.
