Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring critical thinking and EKG interpretation skills on a 13-week day shift assignment.

• Active RN license (State or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Critical thinking skills required
• EKG interpretation skills required
• Prior experience titrating cardiac medications preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required

• Progressive Care Unit within a hospital setting, 36 beds
• Staffing includes RNs and PCTs with patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1
• Shift schedule is 7:00AM-7:00PM, 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Occasional paracentesis or thoracentesis procedures performed on unit
• Floating required to ICU or Med-Surg as needed
• No weekend or on-call requirements specified
• Care for progressive care patients requiring cardiac monitoring and titration of cardiac medications
• Team-oriented personality is a strong fit for this unit
• Navy blue scrub attire required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
