Job SummaryEMCOR Government Services is seeking a Journeyman Electrician in Southeast Washington, DC
. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 26.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance, service calls, read and understand blueprints, inspections, and supervise subcontractors.
- Troubleshooting
- Utilize general knowledge of motors, switch gear, emergency generation, UPS, fire, HVAC, and related electrical building systems.
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician (DC, MD and VA)
- Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of an Electrician
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in performing operation and maintenance tasks in a government or commercial office environment
- Be proficient in the use of Electricians tools such as meters etc.
- Troubleshooting skills a must
- Must have general knowledge of motors, switch gear, emergency generation, UPS, fire, HVAC, and related electrical building systems.
• Work requires an abundance of walking, bending, kneeling, and working in uncomfortable positions.
• Must be able to move/lift heavy objects, climb vertical ladders, work at heights.
