We are looking for a motivated, skilled, and dependable Drain Technician to join our plumbing team. This position involves diagnosing, inspecting, and clearing residential and commercial drains using a variety of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and committed to providing top-tier service.
Position Overview:The Drain Technician is responsible for diagnosing drain and sewer issues, performing drain cleaning services, and recommending solutions to customers. This role requires proficiency with drain snakes, jetters, camera inspections, and minor plumbing repairs related to drainage systems. This role also complements and supports the general plumbing team as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and resolve drain blockages and sewer line issues in residential and commercial properties.
- Perform drain cleaning using snakes, jetters, and other specialized equipment.
- Conduct camera inspections of drain and sewer lines to identify issues such as breaks, blockages, or root intrusion.
- Educate customers on issues found and offer solutions, including repair or replacement recommendations.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs related to drainage systems (traps, cleanouts, minor pipe repairs, etc.).
- Assist and support the general plumbing team on plumbing tasks and projects as needed.
- Complete detailed job reports, including before/after videos and photos when applicable.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service, maintaining professionalism on every job site.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency drain services as needed.
- Prior experience in drain cleaning, plumbing, or a related field preferred (willing to train the right candidate).
- Ability to operate drain equipment, including sewer cameras, jetters, and augers.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs., kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
