Description
Superior Door is seeking a skilled and motivated Garage Door Technician to install, service, and repair residential and commercial garage door systems. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role for a mechanically inclined professional who is safety‑driven, customer‑focused, and committed to delivering high‑quality workmanship. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, communicates clearly with customers, and represents the company professionally in every service interaction.
Duties- Install, service, and repair residential and commercial garage doors, operators, and related hardware
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues efficiently and accurately
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and safety checks
- Ensure proper alignment, balance, tension, and full functionality of doors and operator systems
- Identify root causes of system failures and recommend appropriate solutions
- Travel to customer locations within Twin Falls (Magic Valley) and occasionally throughout Idaho
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, timelines, and preventative recommendations
- Accurately document labor, materials used, and service details
- Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and properly stocked inventory
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Participate in on‑call rotation as required
- Support team members and assist with additional duties as assigned
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs independently and up to 75 lbs with team assistance
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass physical agility test and drug screening
- Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation
- Ability to travel within designated service areas
- 2+ years of experience as a Garage Door Technician (Preferred)
- 2+ years of customer service experience (Preferred)
- Experience working with a variety of door systems and manufacturers (Preferred)
- Knowledge of access control systems, dock equipment, or gate operators(Preferred)
- OSHA certification or industry-specific safety training(Preferred)
