- Installs,troubleshoots,andrepairsheating,air conditioning,andrefrigerationunits,includingchillers,boilers,andheatpumps
- Troubleshotmalfunctioningheating,air conditioning,andrefrigerationsystemstodeterminethecauseofthemalfunction
- Performsscheduledmaintenanceinspections,andadjusts,cleans,andcalibratesvarioussystemstoassurepropersystemoperations
- Repairswiringandelectroniccomponentsassociatedwithautomatedbuildingmanagementsystems
- Replacesexpansionvalves,compressors,motors,coilunits,andotherparts
- Cleansrefrigerantsystemsfromhermeticburnouts,evacuates,andchargessystems
- Troubleshotandrepairsdirectdigitalandpneumaticcontrolsystems
- Checksdistributionsystemsforpropervelocity,volume,temperature,pressure,etc.
- Balancesairandwatertreatmentsystems
- Determinesthecauseofandcorrectscondensationproblems
- ProvidestechnicalassistancewiththedesignofHVACsystems,includinginstallationsandmodificationstoexistingsystems
- AssistsintrainingothertechniciansandstaffinthepreventativemaintenanceofHVACsystems
- Preparesrecordsandreportsdescribingprocedures,actionstaken,andrecommendedsolutions
- Preparesandsubmitsrequestsforsuppliesandequipment
- Respondstoemergencyservicesrequests
- Maysupervisetheworkofothertechnicians
