Role Description The Electrician role at Ronn Allen Electric is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Idaho Falls, ‑to‑day responsibilities include installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in accordance with codes, safety standards, and project specifications. The Electrician will interpret blueprints and diagrams, perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on electrical issues, and complete routine and preventive maintenance tasks. The role involves collaborating with supervisors and coworkers, documenting work performed, and ensuring that all tools, materials, and work areas are used and maintained safely.
The Electrician will also communicate with project leads or customers as needed to clarify requirements and provide status updates.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical principles, with the ability to apply them safely and accurately on the job.
- Hands‑on experience in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and equipment setup for residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair of electrical systems and components, including conducting inspections and performing preventive maintenance.
- Solid troubleshooting skills to diagnose electrical faults, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts or coursework that supports practical field work (formal degree or technical training is a plus).
- Relevant licensure or certification as an electrician in Idaho, or eligibility to obtain required credentials.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices, including adherence to NEC, local codes, and company policies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics, and to use standard electrical tools and testing equipment.
- Reliable work habits, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an on‑site environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship or vocational/technical program in electrical work is preferred.
