Job Summary
Delivery Driver Trainee – Primary
Location:
Idaho Falls, Idaho.
- Complete all required tasks in the CDL training program to become a local delivery driver.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a CDL permit and medical card.
- Drive truck to deliver beverage products to customers’ places of business on highway, rural, and city street conditions complying with federal and state regulations.
- Work independently to complete all deliveries for established routes.
- Effectively communicate issues and customer concerns to supervisor.
- Record sales, buy back, delivery, and variance information on daily sales or delivery records.
- Operate the computerized inventory and invoicing system to accurately record stops, deliveries, and any errors on the route.
- Operate hand trucks and electric pallet jacks.
- Collect or pick up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
- Conduct and/or supervise truck loading and unloading and secure loads.
- Issue or obtain customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
- Perform daily inspection and routine fluid, air, and oil maintenance on the truck and maintain a clean vehicle.
- Construct or assemble display aids from company‑provided point‑of‑sale (POS) materials.
- Wear company‑provided uniform and safety devices as appropriate to comply with safety standards and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a CDL permit and medical card.
- Ability to drive a truck over established routes, including highways, rural, and city streets.
- Strong communication skills for reporting issues to supervisors.
- Basic computer proficiency for operating inventory and invoicing systems.
- Ability to lift vehicles and loads, including empty containers and merchandise.
- Knowledge of routine maintenance of commercial trucks.
