Inventory Control Specialist

Eagle Eye Produce is a premier grower shipper with more than 30,000 acres under cultivation. We grow in multiple states in the United States as well as several locations in Mexico. Our focus is to provide our customers with a year-round supply of the products we grow. These items include; several Potato varieties including organics, Onions, Watermelon, and Nogales Vegetables (Tomatoes, Peppers, Squash, Cucumbers).

This is an on-site role at Eagle Eye Produce warehouse in Idaho Falls, ID

Position Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain Eagle Eye Produce’s inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items while maintaining accurate records of all procurements.

Knowledge Areas:

• Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
• Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Technical/Communication

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
• Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors.

Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with computerized inventory systems preferred.
• Bilingual preferred:
  Spanish and English

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles.
• Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items.
• Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
• Provides inventory reports to purchasing and inventory control manager.
• Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.
• Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
• Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager.
• Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
• Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
• Operates forklift truck when necessary.
• Performs other related duties as requested.

Expected Hours of Work:

• This position requires approximately 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday , to meet the demands of the business and complete the responsibilities of this position.
• Duties and responsibilities are performed in an office, as well as a warehouse setting.
• This role routine uses standard office equipment.

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Exposure to temperatures of approximately 42° in the warehouse.
• Walking around warehouse enviroment
• Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
• Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person.
