We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving problems, supporting operations, and ensuring financial accuracy across a dynamic hospitality organization.
In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining the financial health of both the resort and private club by managing account reconciliations, supporting month‑end processes, assisting with financial reporting, and serving as a trusted resource for department leaders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self‑motivated, proficient in Excel, and comfortable working independently while collaborating across multiple departments.

WHAT YOU CAN DO- Manage all areas of Club Accounting for the Whitetail Club and support all club members with questions regarding their billings.
- Post daily revenue journal and daily bank transactions. This position will be responsible for resolving any out of balance and guest dispute issues.
- Reconcile relevant bank accounts in Great Plains.
- Reconcile Sales Tax return against source documents and research variances.
- Reconcile and properly document all Balance Sheet accounts. This includes monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and daily reconciliation of the key hotel accounts (City Ledger, Advance Deposits, etc.)
- Post month‑end journal entries as needed.
- Prepare and post other adjusting journal entries as required by the Director of Finance.
- Prepare account reconciliations as required.
- Work with Director of Finance to support with research and resolution of P&L line‑item variances.
- Participate in Accounting meetings as scheduled.
- Complete assignments and special projects assigned by Accounting Management.
- College degree in Accounting / Finance preferred.
- Two or more years of hands‑on accounting experience.
- Understand accounting concepts including debits/credits, chart of accounts, general ledger reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Experience in hospitality or resort accounting highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem‑solving ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with competent abilities in Excel spreadsheet manipulation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Prioritize and organize work assignments.
- Maintain clear and accurate records for all adjustments posted.
- Previous experience and/or familiarity with Great Plains / Dynamics Accounting Software preferred.
- Working knowledge of Agilysys, Golf Pro or other Point of Sale systems.
- Professional interpersonal skills required.
