Role Overview
The TM Injury/Cust Serv Rep records first reports of injuries for team member injuries, transmits claim reports and related documentation to claim administrator, and utilizes diary/task protocol to manage medical-only claims and assist the claim coordinator.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSTake first report of injury for workers’ compensation losses by phone, e‑mail and fax. Enter claim data into the claim database and notify claim administrator and field management as directed via reporting protocol. Contact the injured worker regarding the date of injury. Proficiency in processing and accuracy of all claim information is critical. Timeliness and confidentiality are mandatory.
Timely management of medical-only claims, ensuring return-to-work information is updated with attention paid to length and detail of transitional duty. Make at least monthly calls to injured workers and document them. Support and assist claim coordinators while following and adhering to claim guidelines and standards.
Provide extensive customer service to field management, team members, providers, etc., by referring them to resources such as the claim administrator. Assist with O’Reilly specific questions. Identify qualified physicians to provide treatment to injured team members, maintain an up-to-date database on Team Net with at least one physician per location, and monitor and update the database as needed.
Immediately notify department Vice President, Director, Manager, and Claim Coordinator of any accident of a serious nature. Contact the Coordinator of Safety Team immediately if any OSHA reporting requirements are met. Consistently and completely utilize the workers’ compensation database and automated claim reporting. Ensure the database is completed accurately and completely. Maintain daily file records of e‑mail correspondence.
Review medical bills and work status reports, and send them to the appropriate adjuster as necessary. Work independently on tasks such as wage statements, notifying field management of hearings, depositions, etc., and file processing as provided by the Claim Coordinator. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, updating closures/term reports, state-specific forms, new store packet distribution, and generating and distributing reports to Payroll, Benefits, Loss Prevention, and Human Resources.
SKILLS/ EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / ABILITIES
Required:
High school education, high proficiency with computers and office equipment, excellent communication and organization skills.
Desired:
Insurance, medical, or legal experience; flexibility to work overtime as needed.
