About Thompson Creek Mine

The Thompson Creek Mine is a primary, surface molybdenum mine and mill located approximately 48 kilometers southwest of the town of Challis in Idaho's Custer County.

In operations since 1983, the mineuses conventional open-pit mining methods with large electric-powered shovels that can each move up to 100,000 tons of waste rock and ore per day.

Thompson Creek Mine promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Mine Maintenance Clerk t o join our Thompson Creek team who will be responsible for providing a full range of administrative support services to the Mine Maintenance department.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs administrative functions such as entering maintenance information into the mine database system.
  • Assists with tire and truck bed liner inventory.
  • Assists maintenance planner with organizing part deliveries, generating corrective work orders, and closing work orders.
  • Responsible for updating the component changeout spreadsheet management system, and communicating the updates.
  • Responsible for scheduling maintenance-related meetings and trainings for continuous improvements.
  • Prepare, assemble and process required documentation, and plan for maintenance scheduling activities.
  • Serve as backup to Maintenance database system administrator.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
About You

To qualify, the following skills and experiences are required :

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants for this position must have 1-3 years general clerical experience.
  • Excellent typing skills, demonstrated concern for details and accuracy.
  • Ability to operate various office machines, to work independently, to handle multiple priorities.
  • SAP experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Word are required.
  • Effective team working relationships with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Organizational skills and detail-orientated mindset.
