Document Control and Records Manager

We are currently seeking a Document Control and Records Manager to support our SFHP Project near Idaho Falls.
Amentum Nuclear Projects a is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy and Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, we deliver safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering and construction. We are currently executing many contracts, performing work that is essential to our clients' missions across a broad range of functional areas.
We are looking for an experienced manager to lead our Document Control and Training team for our Spent Fuel Handling Project near the Naval Reactors Facility at Idaho National Lab which is approximately 55 miles from Idaho Falls.
Your role will be to manage a team responsible for implementing the project Document and Records Management plan, preparing for record turnover, and site training. Experience should include managing a team of ~10 across multiple locations, knowledge of common policy and general engineering industry trends from project inception to project closeout, including records archiving, retention, and destruction practices. Strong knowledge of industrial documentation practices and requirements desired.
Strong knowledge of core training and onboarding and training practices. Must be a self-motivated, effective communicator, with a strong background in Records and Information Management in Engineering, Program Management, Procurement, and Construction Management services.
Responsibilities include:
- Utilize Records and Document Management tools and write and implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Train and develop document control staff in established document control processes and procedures.
- Provide direct contribution to the daily management of document control and records management.
- Process and distribute communications and information flow such as submittals, requests for information (RFIs), records turnover, etc.
- Manage documentation (documents and records) during the design, construction, commissioning, closeout, and turnover phases of projects.
- Support Program-specific tasks and implement document control and records management concepts as defined in the Project Quality Assurance Plan, Project Execution Plan, Engineering Management Plan, and Construction Management Plan.
- Identify Program requirements, establish standard process/policy locally, and perform quality reviews of overall communication and documentation processes on the systems platform.
- Maintain Program files in hard-copy and electronic retention systems, as required.
- Assist the Program team with the timely retrieval of documents and records and assembly requirements of internal and external audits.
- Ensure quality/compliance of Program document and records management plans and process, as well as alignment with Program and Corporate requirements.
- Ensure all project participants are trained in the application of program document control and records management systems.
- Own and implement project onboarding process and training matrix.
