Position Summary
The Director, Market Research, will develop comprehensive market research plans and lead the execution of market research projects to support the commercial growth of Palsonify in Acromegaly and commercialization efforts for pipeline programs. They will lead cross‑functional efforts with Marketing, Market Access, Sales, Medical Affairs and Corporate Affairs teams to generate data‑driven, actionable insights for both commercial and pipeline products.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities- Create comprehensive global market research frameworks to support key commercial strategies and tactics.
- Lead and execute primary and secondary market research with cross‑functional partners, including Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Corporate Affairs, and Legal.
- Work with partners to understand key business needs across therapeutic targets, product development stages, and lifecycle management.
- Align the organization on the scope, timing, and objectives of research initiatives.
- Ensure conclusions and implications drawn from studies are objective, sound, relevant, data‑supported, and communicated effectively to cross‑functional teams and commercial leadership.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations to senior leadership, global product and cross‑functional teams to influence strategic and tactical decision‑making.
- Identify qualified suppliers, manage the engagement process for global studies cost‑effectively and in compliance with industry and company standards.
- Ensure research activities meet financial and ethical compliance guidelines.
- Partner with Sales and Commercial Analytics leads to develop, track, and monitor key performance indicators for commercial tactics.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or related field (required).
- Master’s degree (MBA) strongly preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in marketing sciences or market research within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including at least 8 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience managing promotions and market research vendors.
- Experience in pharmaceutical situational analysis and brand planning.
- Ability to consolidate and present key findings to stakeholders.
- Experience designing and conducting quantitative and qualitative market research across multiple customer groups, including physicians, patients, allied health care professionals, pharmacists, and advocacy groups.
- Experience generating data‑driven, actionable commercial insights from standard and non‑standard pharmaceutical data sets.
- Ability to analyze complex issues, distill information, develop business‑relevant strategic recommendations, and persuasively present to varied stakeholders.
Continuous desk work, intermittent telephone use, and keyboard communication. Some walking and lifting up to 25 lbs may be required. Typical noise level is low to moderate.
Laboratory ActivitiesBiology and chemical laboratory environment experience needed. Environmental health and safety requirements also apply.
TravelUp to 10% of time may involve travel.

SalaryRange
$199,000 – $249,000.
