Bgesh is looking for a Federal Construction Superintendent to oversee our construction projects. The project superintendent should possess strong leadership skills, a strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices, and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and in compliance with safety regulations.

- Must have a clear background and can obtain a security clearance to work on a military installation or government facility on a construction project in the federal domain.
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction which includes 5 years as a superintendent.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices
- Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding technical drawings.
- Valid OSHA certification (OSHA 30 preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience supporting government or federally funded projects preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly
- Proficiency with project management and reporting tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Capable of reading, writing and conversing fluently in the English language and has excellent verbal and written communication skills to be used for effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
- Familiar with OSHA regulations and have a commitment to maintaining safety standards on-site.
- Required to sit; walk or stand; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; and bend at waist.
- Occasionally required to climb unassisted while carrying up to 40 pounds; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 65 pounds unassisted.
- Must be onsite during project hours.
- Ensure the requirements of 29 CFR 1926.16 and EM 385-1-1 are met.
- Provide effective communication of schedule with project manager and government representatives.
- Develops and maintains a complete understanding of the contract documents.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors to facilitate the project schedule.
- Manage on-site safety and conditions.
- Collaborates with project manager daily via email and telephone.
- Supervises daily construction activities to manage on-site personnel and meet project milestones.
