Role: Surgical Care Practitioner / Robotics
Location: The Princess Grace Hospital
Hours: Permanent, Full time 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday – Saturday, earlies, lates and long days
Salary: Competitive + shift allowance + Golden Hello
The Princess Grace Hospital is recognised as one of the leading multidisciplinary private hospitals in London. The seven theatres provide a vibrant, exciting, and professional environment that features hybrid theatre, robotic surgery suite and laminar flow theatres. Our team works with world‑class surgeons and state‑of‑the‑art equipment, including two Da Vinci robots, and has performed over 500 robotic procedures.
Responsibilities- Support robotic surgery within the department; this is a clinical bedside assistance role with no patient clinics involved.
- Provide day‑to‑day support under the direction of the operating surgeon as a member of the surgical care team.
- Assess and prepare patients for surgery.
- Effectively manage the clinical area on a day‑to‑day basis and plan ahead.
- Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner (Essential)
- MSc, PG Cert, PG Dip in Surgical Care Practice
- Strong robotics, urology or gynaecology experience (required)
- Registration as a healthcare professional (e.g., nurse or ODP) with a related honours degree
- Recent experience in theatre nursing
- 2–3 years experience working as a Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner
- Log book (Essential)
- Aptitude for clinical and operative practice
- Ability to manage the clinical area and plan operations daily
