• Establish specific objectives and lesson plans for directing and evaluating student learning.
• Provide pupil guidance, which will promote good citizenship, and encourage lifelong learning.
• Provide for the care and protection of students.
• Provide for the care of materials, equipment and facilities.
• Participate in the planning, evaluation, and upgrading of the school program.
• Be responsible for student attendance and permanent records.
• Maintain cordial and cooperative working relationships with colleagues.
• Report pupil progress to the administration and parents as directed.
• Continuously demonstrate mastery of the subject area taught and mastery of generally acceptable instruction techniques.
• Be responsible for co-curricular and other duties beyond the regular classroom activities as may be determined by the building principal.
• Be a role model and example that promotes good habits and behavior from the students.
• Provide an atmosphere of dignity, mutual respect, industry, and self-initiative.
• Give instruction in safety pertaining to the building and equipment with which the student may come in contact.
• Knows and follows school policy and the chain of command.
• Acts ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
• Performs such school-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Idaho State Certification – K‑8 or 6‑12 Math
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited college or university
