The Castleford School District is a small, rural K-12 school with approximately 250 students. We believe in a strong academic environment that also fosters an engaging and enthusiastic learning community. Our district operates on a four-day schedule, Tuesday-Friday with some Monday in-service days. We are looking for a full-time high school Science teacher. The successful candidate will be working with students, staff, parents, administration, and the public.

The candidate must be committed to helping students learn subject matter and skills according to state standards and use data to make instructional decisions for individual students.

Position Type:
Full-time

• A valid Idaho teaching certificate for appropriate levels and subjects or an approved plan with the state of Idaho with obtaining a valid Idaho teaching certificate.
• Applicant needs to have a strong background with teaching methods, planning and developing appropriate and engaging lessons and activities, and effective classroom management.
• If absent, lesson plans for the substitute will be provided.
• Utilizes assessments with students on a regular basis and make informed, individual student instructional decisions based on data.
• Applicant will pursue professional growth opportunities.
• An understanding of the Idaho Core Standards and curriculum and the development of 14-18 year old students.
• An ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
