POSITION OVERVIEW
The Studio Coordinator serves as a vital bridge between the school and the broader community, supporting an innovative, studio-based learning model that connects students to real-world experiences. This is a newly created position designed to amplify what teachers can accomplish in the classroom by handling the logistics, outreach, and relationship-building that innovative instruction requires.
Working at the intersection of education and community, the Studio Coordinator helps teachers focus on teaching - while the coordinator handles the connections, coordination, and behind-the-scenes work that bring learning to life.

- Proactively identify and cultivate community partners aligned with studio class themes and teacher needs
- Serve as the school's primary point of contact for community partners, volunteers, and guest contributors
- Represent the school at community events, meetings, and networking opportunities

- Research and recommend community connections that complement instructional goals across departments
- Assist in identifying grant opportunities, donations, and external funding sources to support studio programming
- Support teachers during the planning phase of new studio classes by connecting vision to community capacity
- Manage scheduling, confirmations, and preparatory communications for all community-facing events and visits
- Maintain organized records of partnerships, contacts, events, and resource inventory
- Coordinate any agreements, permission documentation, or background check processes required for community volunteers
- Prepare periodic reports for building administration on partnership activity and program impact
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse community settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and relationships simultaneously
- Proficiency with standard office technology and communication tools (email, calendar, word processing, spreadsheets)
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Genuine enthusiasm for innovation in education and connecting young people to real-world learning
- Experience in community organizing, event coordination, nonprofit work, business development, or public relations
