The role of a teacher is to provide quality education and care for secondary school students at Catherine McAuley College. The ideal candidate understands Catholic Education’s mission, can design differentiated teaching strategies, uses data to guide improvement and collaborates effectively with colleagues, parents and the community.
The teacher integrates Catholic values into the curriculum and fosters a diverse, positive learning environment while employing various assessment strategies and providing feedback.
About UsCatherine McAuley College opened in 2022 to meet the growing demand for high‑quality Catholic secondary education in the Mackay region. Commencing with its inaugural cohort of Year 7 students, the College has been growing one year level at a time and will complete its full Years 7‑12 profile by 2027. Built on the former site of the historic Mackay Sugar Research Institute, the College offers first‑class facilities to ensure the delivery of quality teaching and learning practices.
