Position Overview

Brilla Schools seeks a mission-driven, results-oriented leader to serve as Director of Enrollment for the Brilla Schools Network in the Bronx. The Director of Enrollment will own and execute the network-wide enrollment and retention strategy across elementary and middle school portfolios, ensuring Brilla meets ambitious growth, retention, and compliance goals while delivering an exceptional, family-centered enrollment experience.

This role is ideal for a strategic, data-driven leader with deep enrollment operations experience who can both set vision and build durable systems, while coaching and developing a high-performing enrollment team. The Director of Enrollment reports to the Deputy Chief Operations Officer and partners closely with school leaders, operations, data, marketing, and external vendors.

Core Competencies & Responsibilities

This role owns a department or function across the network, including strategy, systems, and performance outcomes. The Director of Enrollment designs and implements processes that drive quality, equity, and consistency, manages Managers and/or team leads, and uses data and stakeholder feedback to improve results. This leader ensures strong execution while building sustainable systems for growth.

The Director of Enrollment provides strategic leadership, systems ownership, and people management for all enrollment and retention efforts across the Brilla Schools Network. This role ensures enrollment operations are compliant, efficient, data-informed, and family-centered, while driving consistent practices and strong results across campuses.

Enrollment Strategy & Network Oversight
  • Own and execute the network-wide enrollment strategy across elementary and middle school portfolios.
  • Set annual and quarterly enrollment goals in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Analyze enrollment data including applications, offers, yield, retention, attrition, discharges, and no-shows to forecast trends and proactively mitigate risk.
  • Monitor and manage the full enrollment funnel, ensuring strong follow-up, lead nurturing, and conversion practices.
  • Regularly evaluate enrollment initiatives and sunset low-impact strategies in favor of high-yield practices.
Enrollment Team Leadership & People Management
  • Serve as people manager for the network-wide enrollment team
    , including Enrollment Managers, Student Recruiter Coordinators, and Enrollment Captains.
  • Set clear roles, expectations, performance metrics, and accountability structures.
  • Lead regular 1:1s, coaching sessions, and performance check-ins.
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate onboarding, professional development, and training.
  • Foster a collaborative, mission-driven team culture aligned to Brilla norms and goals.
  • Make staffing recommendations, including role design, hiring needs, and organizational improvements.
  • Ensure appropriate coverage, workload balance, and clear escalation pathways across campuses.
Systems Ownership & Data Integrity
  • Serve as system owner for School Mint, Hub Spot, ATS, Power School, and all enrollment-related workflows.
