Qualifications and Desired
Experience:
- Active or eligible Special Education teaching certification
- Proven experience in K-12 special education environments
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt curriculum for diverse learners
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff
- Passion for empowering students and promoting inclusive practices
- Experience with IEP development and progress monitoring preferred
- Innovative mindset and enthusiastic approach to professional development
- Develop and deliver personalized lesson plans that accommodate each student's learning style and abilities
- Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support specialists, and families to create cohesive learning experiences
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and assistive technologies to address a wide spectrum of learning challenges
- Track student performance, maintain documentation, and participate in meetings as needed
- Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding students' progress, achievements, and goals
