We're seeking a passionate and dynamic Secondary Music Teacher to inspire students in grades 6-12. This role is ideal for someone who loves fostering creativity, building strong musical foundations, and bringing school performances to life.
Position Highlights- Teach engaging music classes for 6th through 12th grade
- Instruct students in singing,
reading music
, and playing a variety of instruments at developmentally appropriate levels - Build skills progressively across grade levels—from rhythm and basic notation to more advanced music reading and instrumental work in upper grades
- Plan, organize, and direct all school music programs and performances
- Collaborate with staff to support school-wide events and initiatives
- Brings energy, creativity, and a love of music to the classroom
- Has experience working with secondary-aged students
- Is confident teaching vocal and instrumental music, along with music literacy
- Is organized and excited to lead concerts, assemblies, and special programs which include pep band and beginning, intermediate and advanced band
- Builds positive relationships with students, staff, and families
