Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/Week
- Lead the development of standardized solutions for protection, automation, and control products.
- Identify solutions that create real value for customers based on defined applications.
- Develop application solutions for specific customer projects with minimal customization required.
- Serve as internal subject matter expert on systems architecture.
- Design, develop, test, and implement standardized applications for protection, control, or automation solutions.
- Configure and test protection relays, RTUs, or PLCs for protection and controls schemes of substations and generation stations.
- Develop new application solutions with IEC
61850 or other relevant communication protocols in the energy automation field. - Develop protection schemes and logic diagrams.
- Review processes and tools and support improvements in overall efficiency.
- Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or as an Automation Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or a related occupation.
- Experience in power automation or a protection engineering field.
- Experience configuring relay or automation products with major brands (Siemens, GE, SEL, ABB).
- Knowledge of protection schemes (busbar, transformer, breaker, or capacitor bank).
- Substation communication networking and protocols (IEC
61850, DNP, Modbus, Profinet). - Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
