Mountain Events and Race

Mountain Events and Race Support is a team of functional experts that work on an event-based work schedule setting up, prepping, executing and tearing down any and all events or competitions throughout the year.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Leading a team of volunteers with on-hill manual labor tasks
• Heading up all safety protection plans, including A-net, B-net and air fence
• Surface management with knowledge of watering
• Set up and move the air fence
• Help TV production
• Help timing team
• Color course with dye for visibility
• Organize and prepare timing equipment for the following race/special event

Qualifications:

• Must be familiar with various ski race equipment.
• Must be able to ski and be comfortable carrying equipment while skiing.
• Must have experience working with a team
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• This employee must carry heavy race equipment while skiing without using poles.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays, and if needed, night shifts to support major events
