As part of the Branch Banking team, the Financial Center Banker will acquire an in-depth knowledge of Northwest products and services to provide financial options to clients through a consultative approach while expanding the banking relationship.
The Financial Center Banker connects customers with Northwest products and services, opens accounts, identifies customer financial needs, and connects customers to other Northwest financial experts to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities- Meet or exceed performance targets related to customer satisfaction, product sales, and financial wellness conversations.
- Conduct comprehensive financial assessments for customers to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
- Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide leadership while ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all operational activities and financial center security.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Deliver exceptional customer service experiences and address customer concerns and complaints promptly.
- Initiate proactive conversations to build rapport and understand financial objectives.
- Build long‐term relationships with customers by providing ongoing support and follow‑up.
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to mitigate risk and maintain confidentiality.
- Navigate Microsoft Office software and other departmental applications to maximize technology tools and efficiency.
- Work as part of a team, using on‑site equipment, and perform branch opening and closing tasks as needed.
- Complete other duties and special projects as requested by management.
- Establish effective working relationships among team members and participate in problem solving and decision making.
- Present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
- Actively listen to others to achieve understanding and facilitate open exchange of ideas.
- Establish courses of action to accomplish specific goals and develop tracking systems for monitoring progress.
- Make sound decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, practicing good judgment in gray areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- One year of banking and/or retail experience (preferred).
- Sales experience (preferred).
- Customer service experience (preferred).
