ABOUT

THE ROLE

The Senior Manager, Project Finance is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and implementing project financing of solar and storage projects within the Clēnera portfolio. This role executes the strategy related to effective capital deployment, sourcing and evaluating financing structures inclusive of debt, tax equity and alternatives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Prepare and participate in the delivery of presentations for the investment community to obtain project financing.
  • Develop proformas for solar and storage projects with accompanying assumption support and document review.
  • Develop financial models to analyze project feasibility and profitability, including go/no-go recommendations for projects with supporting analysis.
  • Prepare due diligence materials, offering materials for debt and equity transactions, and documentation of structured or project finance transactions.
  • Prepare analyses and recommendations for, and participate in, monthly and quarterly investment reviews.
  • Lead the interaction with lenders and investors.
  • Prepare analysis and resulting reports to support business operations. Lead/oversee analytical expertise on a wide variety of business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.
  • Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, energy/environmental, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Capital Markets, Project Finance, and/or tax equity structures, or investment banking.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Finance in the US renewable energy industry.
  • Technology:
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company‑specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.
  • Skills/Attributes:
    • Leads structuring and execution of complex financing arrangements (debt, tax equity, mezzanine) across large‑scale renewable portfolios; serves as primary finance representative in negotiations with lenders, investors, and counter parties to secure favorable terms.
    • Oversees review and interpretation of term sheets, credit agreements, PPAs, EPC/O&M contracts, and tax equity documents; ensures alignment with financial models, compliance requirements, and strategic objectives while identifying and mitigating risks.
    • Owns financial oversight for multiple projects and portfolios, synthesizing analytics into actionable recommendations for executive leadership and investment committees; drives capital allocation and optimization strategies.
    • Manages and mentors analysts and associates, setting modeling standards, reviewing work for accuracy, and fostering a culture of analytical rigor and deal execution excellence; partners cross‑functionally with legal, engineering, and development teams to ensure seamless deal flow.
