Position: Accounting Rotational Program (Early Career)
Location: Headquarters

Summary

The Accounting Rotational Program accelerates the development of high‑potential early‑career professionals by providing broad exposure to core accounting functions within a fast‑growing, private equity‑backed renewable energy company.

What You’ll Do
  • Support general accounting close processes (monthly, quarterly, and year‑end)
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports
  • Assist with variance analysis and financial statement reviews
  • Contribute to internal and external reporting requirements and audit preparation
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
  • Process invoices and support vendor management as part of procure‑to‑pay
  • Track capital expenditures and support asset capitalization and depreciation for renewable projects
  • Partner with development and operations on project cost tracking
  • Support SOX/internal controls processes and documentation
  • Assist with compliance reporting and process improvements
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and reduce risk
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements (e.g., Workday)
  • Contribute to cross‑functional projects that impact accounting and finance

Program Completion

Completion of the rotational program does not guarantee placement into a full‑time role at the conclusion of the program; high‑performing participants may be considered for available opportunities based on business need, performance, and organizational fit.

Location & Duration

Location:

Charlotte, NC (onsite, potential exposure to field operations)
Program Duration: 12–18 months
Rotation Structure: 3–4 rotations (approximately 4 months each)
Mentorship:
Each participant is paired with a finance leader and program sponsor

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field such as finance
  • Progress toward CPA certification or intent to pursue it
  • Internship experience in accounting, audit, or finance
  • Experience with or exposure to financial systems (e.g., Net Suite) and/or advanced Excel‑based analysis
  • Foundational understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (e.g., master’s in accounting, MBA)
  • Progress toward CPA certification or intent to pursue it (if not already represented in basic qualifications)
