About the position
:  shift: 12h day, evening variable shift description: unit  receive written notice from cliician that housing has been researched, approve of pay package, committed and understand assignment, and will sign offer within 24 hours# treatments per day "cah- treatment vary, shifts when staff have 4-6 patient interactions, anything: er can get anything from nicu to just routine breathing treatments, and er1 rt on per shift"certs : bls, acls, rrt, nrp (through aaop), palstypes of patients : "nicu to geriatrics- all in one day er, no icu-stabilize and ship, medsurg, a lot of ski traumas, cycling accidents"what areas do they cover: "hospital- er, and ms, ekg, outpatient clinic-peds nasal suction, holter monitors, ekgs"experience or 'must have' skills : 2 year experience in a similar cah settingmust do ekg, able to assist with intubations and abgsok with first time travelersmust have nicu and delivery experience as well as adultsmust be comfortable working independently, advocating, troubleshooting and time-management prioritization (structure and support documents/ guidelines to support)"job duties : abgs- draw and analyze- suggest cares, breathing tx, bipap, cpap, vents- transfer out, ekgsare rts required to be able to intubate independently or only to assist?assist

with intubation- vent settings for holds, all rt interventions of neonates, lmas etc. Is there a respiratory manager/supervisor/lead therapist on each shift?"direct report to manager, in house m-f during the day, 2 other sister hospitals have a charge rt to call as a resource.
