Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays, provide between-meal nourishment, and clean, sterilize, store and prepare other supplies. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Performs other related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience directly related to the role.
• BLS required:
  Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, or AHA Health Saver.

• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position.
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job.
• On feet a minimum of 8-12 hours, depending on length of shift.
• Frequent stooping, bending, reaching, lifting and pushing heavy equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Read charts, dials, equipment settings, literature and other printed and handwritten materials.
• Must be able to assist in patient transfer.
• Exposure to needles, blood and body fluids, chemicals and blood borne pathogens.
• Work with equipment and on computers (keyboarding).
• Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend to manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc.

• Marys and Clearwater Health operate 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, all year. Operational needs may require availability for all shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Clinic locations have operation hours based on locations and patient needs; availability for all clinic shifts, weekends and holidays as appropriate for location will be expected and required.

• Unit and Position Specific Competencies during Orientation.
• General Orientation.
• Basic Life Support.
