What You’ll Do
Patient Care & Treatment Support
  • Assist Occupational Therapists in treating patients with occupational performance deficits
  • Support development of fine motor, gross motor, visual motor, and coordination skills
  • Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Help patients improve activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities (IADLs)
Documentation & Program Support
  • Complete accurate, timely documentation in accordance with Idaho practice guidelines
  • Track and document patient progress toward treatment goals
  • Prepare charts, reports, and visual data to support patient care and program evaluation
  • Maintain records, organize supplies, and prepare treatment materials
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Provide excellent customer service in all interactions
  • Participate in patient screenings and assist with assessments
  • Collaborate on department initiatives and community projects

This role is based in a hospital setting and involves regular movement throughout the facility. You may work with patients who have complex medical needs and may encounter exposure to clinical elements such as bodily fluids, chemicals, and infectious conditions.

This position may be assigned additional duties and responsibilities at any time, as needed.

Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist across inpatient, outpatient, and school-based settings.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential
  • Current CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
