Pharmacist, Healthcare

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assigned pharmacy duties, maintaining the pharmacy within established hospital and regulatory agency laws, and Department of Public Health Regulations.

• Assists with policy and procedures for pharmacy services.
• May be required to work in the hospital or retail pharmacy.
• Assists with personnel management and associated training competencies.
• Oversees remote pharmacy services.
• Assists with formulary management including pharmacy contract compliance, interchanges, and shortage management.
• Delegated management of formulary from medical staff and management of application system interdependencies, including management of the pharmacy and therapeutics committee.
• Assists with inventory management: distribution system for the enterprise, Pyxis system maintenance, controlled substance inventory, inventory optimization additions/deletions, outtakes/returns, purchasing, inter‑department and inter‑pharmacy sales, regional support (e.g., EMS), clinic medication orders.
• Follows hospital exposure control plans (blood borne and airborne pathogens).
• Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
• Communicates with patients, families, and co‑workers in person, in writing, and on telephone.

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science.
• Idaho Pharmaceutical License, required.
• 3-5 years of experience, preferred.

Full Time, 40 hours per week. Full‑time joint position.
