The Massage Therapist provides professional massage and body treatment services while delivering an exceptional spa experience for guests. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent guest service, and a commitment to wellness, cleanliness, and professionalism. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in a variety of massage modalities, maintains high service standards, and supports the overall success of the spa through guest education and retail recommendations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide professional massage and body treatment services in accordance with spa protocols and industry standards
- Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled appointments and perform services within established treatment times
- Maintain knowledge of spa services, products, and wellness offerings to effectively recommend treatments and retail products
- Promote home care programs and support retail sales initiatives
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and sterilization standards in accordance with spa policies and applicable regulations
- Properly use and care for equipment, linens, and products to support operational efficiency and cost controls
- Support a positive guest experience through professional communication and personalized service
- Maintain accurate knowledge of treatment protocols and participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Collaborate with spa team members to support daily operations and overall guest satisfaction
- Maintain flexibility with scheduling based on business needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Current Idaho Massage Therapist license required
- Knowledge of multiple massage modalities and body treatment techniques
- Willingness to learn and perform spa-specific treatments and services
- Strong communication, guest service, and interpersonal skills
- Professional, positive, and team-oriented approach
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to recommend products and services based on guest needs
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
- Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
