Wed-Friday; may "flex up" to provide coverage on additional days as needed. 6:30am-5pm

Position Summary

The Clinic Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) supports the delivery of high-quality, team-based patient care by coordinating clinical services and assisting providers in the management of patient healthcare needs. While serving as the primary clinical support person for assigned provider(s), the CMA is expected to maintain a collaborative, team-oriented approach and possess working knowledge of clinic workflows, policies, and procedures to ensure continuity of care across the organization.

The CMA works closely with providers, clinical staff, and support departments to promote efficient operations, effective communication, and positive patient outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred. Candidates with prior medical assistant experience must obtain national CMA certification (AAMA or NCCT) within required employment timelines.
  • Minimum one year of medical field experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, ambulatory care procedures, infection prevention, and basic clinical treatments.
  • Current BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be organized, with a solid understanding of the principles, methods and techniques necessary to perform general clinical and nursing services for ambulatory patients.
  • Proficient computer and EMR skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow provider orders, clinic policies, and patient safety procedures while effectively educating patients using teach‑back methods.
