Do you enjoy making people smile, bringing people together, and finding creative ways to make every day a little more enjoyable?

Heritage Senior Living is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Life Enrichment / Activities Assistant to help create meaningful, engaging experiences for our residents.

Whether you’re leading a game, helping with a craft, enjoying music together, or simply sitting down for a one‑on‑one conversation, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference every day.

If you’re creative, outgoing, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with older adults, we’d love to meet you!

What You’ll Do

Working closely with the Life Enrichment Director, you’ll help plan and lead a variety of recreational, social, physical, educational, and entertainment programs designed around our residents’ interests and abilities.

Create Fun & Meaningful Experiences
  • Lead and assist with group activities, games, crafts, music, exercise, entertainment, celebrations, and other resident programs.
  • Encourage residents to participate while respecting individual interests, preferences, and abilities.
  • Spend one‑on‑one time with residents who may prefer individual activities or simply enjoy conversation and companionship.
  • Provide engaging sensory activities and other programming appropriate to resident needs.
  • Adapt activities so residents of varying abilities can comfortably participate and feel included.
  • Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and positive energy to resident programs.
Help Residents Stay Connected
  • Personally invite residents to programs and encourage them to get involved.
  • Assist residents with getting to and from activities and events.
  • Help plan and participate in community outings and special events.
  • Assist with communicating outing information to residents and families.
  • Help residents build friendships and remain connected with others throughout the community.
Support a Great Resident Experience
  • Get to know residents and learn about their interests, preferences, hobbies, and life experiences.
  • Help create an environment where residents feel welcomed, valued, and included.
  • Work collaboratively with caregivers, CNAs, nursing, and other departments to support resident participation.
  • Assist volunteers and students participating in community programs.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming activity spaces.
  • Help ensure supplies and equipment are available for scheduled programs.
Resident Safety & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of resident activity participation in the Point of Care (POC) system.
  • Complete activity-related documentation as requested.
  • Stay attentive to resident needs and immediately report significant changes or concerns to the appropriate nursing team member.
  • Identify and report potential safety concerns or hazardous conditions.
  • Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality.
  • Follow Heritage Senior Living policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in required training, in-services, and continuing education.
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, creative, patient, and comfortable engaging with residents individually and in groups.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Genuinely enjoy working with older adults.
  • Have a positive attitude and aren't afraid to bring some energy to the room.
