Overview

If you're passionate about healthcare workforce development and enjoy building programs that create meaningful career opportunities, consider joining the NIC Workforce Training Center as the Health Occupations Manager. In this leadership role, you will help expand access to high-quality, non-credit healthcare training while strengthening partnerships that address regional workforce needs. Your work will directly support students as they prepare for in-demand healthcare careers and help employers develop the skilled workforce they need.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple healthcare training programs, including instructor and staff supervision, course planning, budgeting, scheduling, and program performance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, community partners, and college departments to coordinate clinical placements, maintain affiliation agreements, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Identify workforce trends, cultivate industry partnerships, develop new healthcare training opportunities, manage grant and program budgets, promote courses to prospective students, and support pathways that connect non-credit students to credit-bearing healthcare programs.
  • As needed, provide instruction in healthcare courses and assist with state skills examinations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years full-time equivalent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Experience in managing, evaluating, and driving program performance, including implementing changes to improve program performance.
  • Required License and/or

    Certifications:

    Valid driver’s license required. LERN Certified Program Planner certification preferred; must be obtained within one year of employment.
